Joy Mathew, who came to Mercy Home at the age of nine due to polio, faced significant
challenges in completing his education. However, with the help of Mercy Home, Joy not only
completed his schooling but also pursued a computer course and passed the PSC exams. In
2008, he secured his first job in Thiruvananthapuram and is now working as a Senior Clerk at
Ambalavayal Gram Panchayat. Joy’s story is one of hope, illustrating that with determination
and support, anything is possible.
