On june 21,2023, International Yoga Day was celebrated at Mercy Home. Yoga Master Ittirachan sir visited the home, spoke to the children and adults about the importance of yoga, and led a yoga practice session.
The Golden Jubilee inaugural ceremony was held on August 8, 2023, at 6 PM in a specially arranged stage at Mercy Home’s courtyard.
This year, Onam was celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy at Mercy Home. The children, along with the Sisters, beautifully decorated a crib as part of the festivities. Various competitions were organized, adding to the excitement, and prizes were awarded to the winners.
Vazhappally CHC organized a medical camp at Mercy Home for its residents. During the camp, participants underwent health screenings, including checks for body weight, blood pressure, hemoglobin levels, and blood sugar. The attending doctor provided personalized medical advice and distributed necessary medications to
those in need.
The 2024 Art Competition for the differently- Abled was jointly organized by the Lions Club and Lily Lions Special School at chengannur Christian college on Saturday, 13 th January 2024. The children of Mercy Home showcased their exceptional talents and secured victories in multiple categories, including Drawing, Painting, Group Dance, Group Song, Solo Dance, Solo Song, Mimicry, and Fancy Dress. They proudly clinched the Overall Championship, marking a remarkable achievement for the team.
The Art festival for the Differently- Abled, organized by Vazhappally Panchayat, was held on January 27 at the Vazhappally Panchayat Auditorium. Children from Mercy Home actively participated in various competitions, including Dance, Singing, Colouring, Pencil Drawing, Candy Collecting, and Fancy Dress. Their enthusiastic involvement and impressive performances earned them several prizes, highlighting their talents and creativity.
